The sixth year of Dancing with the Jackson Hole Stars is a lively, fun two-night dance competition patterned after the popular TV show, featuring some of Jackson’ s community leaders and business men and women who are willing to go way outside their comfort zones to perform for the benefit of Children’s Learning Center.
Seven community couples who are “non-dancers” are paired with professional choreographers who create and teach them dances ranging from tango to hip-hop or salsa to swing and the results are amazing. The audience is encouraged to participate by “voting” for their favorite teams, a dollar a vote, with all proceeds directly benefitting over 1000 young children served by CLC programs. Three outrageous judges and our MC, popular radio personality, Fish, add a great deal of energy and levity to the evening.
Friday is the Premiere Show. Saturday is the Finale Show where winners are announced. Prizes are awarded for Best Performance, Most Money Raised, Audience Favorite and Best Choreography.
Money raised through the “voting” supports programs and services critical for children birth through five including our community’s at-risk and low-income families, Head Start/Early Head Start, children with special needs, and full day inclusion programs that prepare kids for success in school and life.
