Adam Aijala (guitar, vocals - Yonder Mtn String Band)
Adam Aijala is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and founding member of the progressive bluegrass band, Yonder Mountain String Band. It was the music of the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin that first drew him to the guitar, but by the time he had his first guitar lesson he was learning to play punk, hardcore, and metal songs. At 17, Aijala picked up his first acoustic guitar and when he found bluegrass in college he realized the energy was similar to punk. Aijala blends these influences and many others into both his guitar playing and songwriting that he shares with Yonder Mountain and other projects.
Drew Emmitt (mando, guitar, vocals - Leftover Salmon)
If the Mount Rushmore of progressive bluegrass mandolin players is ever built, Leftover Salmon’s Drew Emmitt’s image will be on it alongside fellow legends like Sam Bush and David Grisman, who he channels every time he steps on stage. Emmitt got his start at an early age in his hometown of Boulder, Colorado taking lessons from Hot Rize’s Tim O’Brien. He soon joined the progressive bluegrass group The Left Hand String Band, which eventually led to the formation of Leftover Salmon alongside Vince Herman.
Greg Garrison (bass - Leftover Salmon)
Greg Garrison is the long time bass player for Leftover Salmon. Known for always laying down a solid foundation regardless of musical style, he has worked with an impressive cross-section of artists including Punch Brothers, Chris Thile, Sam Bush, Lyle Lovett, Bill Frisell, Bryan Sutton, Dave Douglas, Don Byron, and Ron Miles. In his “spare time,” he is also a full-time music professor at the University of Colorado Denver.
Jeremy Garrett (fiddle, looping, vocals - Infamous Stringdusters)
Jeremy Garrett is the fiddle player, singer, and songwriter for the Infamous Stringdusters. Jeremy also has a number of solo recordings and plays several looping shows every year that is centered around vocals, fiddle, guitar, and mandolin along with effects and some beats.
