The Center Elects Bill O’Neil and David Hopkins to Board 

The Center Board of Directors elected two new members, Bill O’Neil and David Hopkins, during its recent meeting held on December 20, 2018.

Bill O’Neil was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois with a four year break to serve in the United States Marine Corps.Bill works in the family business, O’Neil Industries, a holding company of national commercial general contractors and serves as Chairman of the Board. He was a past board member of the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois and a recipient of the Spirit of Life Award from the City of Hope.

Bill is married to Janet and they have four children and six grandchildren. They moved full time to Jackson in 2011 because of the beauty of the landscape and the friendliness of the people. Bill is inspired by the visual arts and music and is an avid amateur photographer.

David Hopkins was born in the UK and moved back and forth between the US, UK, and Switzerland, establishing his permanent home in the US in 1990. He is founder and CEO of Double Chase Management LLC., established in 2004 in New Jersey and New York, before relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2010, and then to Jackson Hole in 2017.

David is an accomplished business executive, with expertise in identifying, creating and implementing company’s “go-to-market” needs. He focuses on providing General Management, and Sales and Marketing services to aid firms through market, product, technology, and generational changes. Prior to running his own consulting firm, David worked in the high technology and automotive industries, primarily in International Marketing, for more than 30 years, and in banking prior to that.

He has been President of a manufacturing firm, and a consultant in several industries, and was a participant at the Tech Inclusion summit at the White House in March 2013. David is an active investor in early stage companies and is an advisor and Board Observer.

For more than 15 years David was a volunteer pilot with Angel Flight both on the East and West Coast. He was formerly the President of the Board of Trustees of the Clarence Dillon Public Library, a Board member at Angel Flight NE, a Board Member with Washington Works, a Board Member at Citizen Schools, and a Board Member at the Seattle Symphony. He also served as Treasurer of the New York Co-Op 1120 Park Avenue. Currently he serves on the Competitive Grants Committee of the Community Foundation and is a trustee of Silicon Couloir. He is an active mentor in the MIT TEAMS program in Jackson Hole. David and his wife Debby live year-round in Jackson WY.
